SINGAPORE - AMOY STREET
RESTAURANT AND ART SPACE
2014
Amoy Street, located in Singapore's Chinatown close to the financial district, is charactarized by "Shop Houses" - two to three storey buildings with long and narrow layouts, stringing together along the street and mostly deriving from the 19th century. After decades of transformation, the city decided to preserve these remaining historic jewels. This project includes the interior design of a shop house located in Amoy Street. It aims to combine the ideas of an art space and a restaurant that focusses on alpine cuisine. The materials chosen for it's interior - among them brushed oak and black steel - create an ambience that mirrors these ideas. The realization of this project was carried out in collaboration with Richard Ho Architects/Singapore and Style & Concept, Bolzano, ItalyBolzano/Italy.
